Job summary

Astranis Space Technologies Corp. in the San Francisco Bay Area seeks an Avionics Integration Engineer to design, test, and validate flight-worthy electronics for spacecraft. You will develop automated test solutions and troubleshoot complex electrical systems across environments.

Lead high-visibility campaigns, collaborate with design teams, and help shape onboarding as the team grows. A BS/MS in EE/CE and 1+ years of hands-on experience are required.

Qualifications

• B.S./M.S. in electrical or computer engineering or equivalent.
• 1+ years of experience or internship/project experience.
• Strong electrical engineering fundamentals.
• Experience with electrical test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, etc).
• Experience debugging systems with hardware and software integration.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and block diagrams.
• Ability to translate high-level requirements into test objectives.
• Passion for hands-on hardware development in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and design automated hardware and software solutions to test+validate flight-worthy hardware
• Firefight complex vehicle electrical systems issues
• Design PCBA's to interface with flight hardware
• Write object-oriented Python to control test equipment, custom hardware, and satellites
• Implement new integration and test processes to raise efficiency without compromising quality
• Lead large, high-visibility test campaigns with multiple stakeholders
• Collaborate with design team during qualification and acceptance
• Contribute to inter-org mitigation of system- and unit-level issues
• Assist in recruiting and hiring additional teammates
