Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is looking for an Avionics Mechanical Design Engineer based in Seattle, WA, to design and analyze avionics enclosures that ensure the safety of electronic systems in spacecraft. You will develop designs that shield critical electronics from environmental extremes and support testing to validate your solutions. Candidates should have a B.S. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and 2+ years of relevant experience with strong 3D CAD skills. Qualifications

• 2+ years designing electro-mechanical avionics assemblies.
• Background in ruggedized electronics protection.
• Strong understanding of GD&T implementation.

Responsibilities

• Design rugged avionics enclosures for spacecraft electronic systems.
• Conduct thermal and structural analyses for reliability.
• Support testing to verify designs meet mission requirements.

Skills

3D CAD skills (especially Creo/Pro-E)

Thermal/structural analysis for electronics

Knowledge of PCBA integration

EMI shielding and thermal management

Education

B.S. in Mechanical, Aerospace or similar engineering discipline
