Job summary

Lynker Corporation seeks a Scientific Cloud Applications Developer to bolster SWPC operations in Boulder, CO. The role focuses on building, deploying, and sustaining cloud-native scientific applications, with emphasis on Python, Java, AWS, and containerization.

The ideal candidate will own data processing pipelines, API services, and databases, delivering scalable, production-ready solutions in a 24/7 mission-critical environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree and 10+ years related experience.
• Strong Python backend, API development, and testing skills.
• Java with Spring Boot and REST APIs experience.
• Experience with AWS, cloud automation, and deployment pipelines.
• Relational and non-relational DB design, troubleshooting, and optimization.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and sustain operational scientific apps for SWPC forecast operations.
• Develop Python backends, APIs, data workflows, and automation scripts.
• Containerize apps with Docker and enable cloud readiness and portability.
• Implement infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD for SWPC modernization.
• Integrate apps with AWS services and cloud-native patterns; support 24/7 ops.
