Qualifications

• Master's degree in atmospheric science, space physics, geophysics, engineering, computer science, mathematics, info systems, or related STEM field with 10+ years of experience.
• Strong Python application development skills with backend and automation experience.
• Proficient Java development with Spring Boot and REST APIs; containerized services knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and sustain operational scientific applications and infra for SWPC.
• Develop Python-based apps, backend services, APIs, data processing workflows, and automation scripts.
• Build and support containerized apps using Docker; enable cloud readiness and scalability.
• Implement IaC, deployment automation, CI/CD pipelines in alignment with modernization goals.
• Integrate applications with AWS services and cloud-native patterns; manage databases including SQL and NoSQL.
