CACI International Inc. in Houston seeks a Space Vehicle Modeling and Simulation Engineer to develop and validate math models for space vehicle systems and subsystems.

You’ll work on distributed simulations using Linux, Trick, and related toolkits, contributing to Mars SR-1 and future Mars exploration programs. The role requires C++ and Python in Linux, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.

Competenze

• U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident for access to USG facilities.
• B.S. in Aerospace, Electrical, or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related disciplines with software development experience.
• 2+ years of experience with aerospace vehicle simulations and math model development.
• 2+ years with one or more spacecraft domains: avionics, communications, electrical power, nuclear power, propulsion, fluids & thermal, orbital dynamics, GNC.
• 2+ years experience with verification & validation processes.
• 2+ years experience with C++ and Python in Linux.
• Experience with Git.

Mansioni

• Develop space vehicle system and subsystem simulation math model requirements, verify model requirements, and validate the simulation and models.
• Design and develop math models for spacecraft systems and subsystems including hardware and software.
• Distributed simulation development.
• Develop simulation scenarios to test nominal and off-nominal spacecraft operations.
• Perform analysis on simulation data to investigate spacecraft system performance.
• Present analysis results and their impact on spacecraft performance, vehicle design and mission design to customers.
