Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking an Undergraduate Intern to support space vehicle and ground systems design studies at our El Segundo or Chantilly offices. You will assist with tool development, modeling, and collaboration across engineering teams, contributing to spacecraft design and analysis efforts.

Applicants should be enrolled in an accredited undergrad program in ME/AE/CS or related fields, maintain a 3.0+ GPA, and be eligible for a US security clearance.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled undergraduate pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum GPA 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale; Sophomore year completed before start.
• Knowledge of spacecraft subsystems, system engineering, or related topics.
• Eligible for US government security clearance; US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with space vehicle and ground design studies, from small to multidisciplinary teams.
• Support development, maintenance, and improvement of design tools/models used in spacecraft design and analysis.
• Engage with RAPID Center tooling and hardware for pathfinding and knowledge-building activities.
• Collaborate with staff, program offices, and other Aerospace engineers and interns.
