Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking an intern in the Systems Engineering Division to support vehicle and ground design studies and tool development. You will work with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to modeling, simulation, and prototyping activities in the RAPID Center.

This internship requires full-time availability for at least 10 weeks, enrollment in a graduate program (MS or PhD), and the ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled full-time in a graduate program pursuing a Master's or Ph.D.
• Availability to work full-time for a minimum of 10 weeks outside of university term.
• Knowledge of spacecraft subsystems and system engineering.
• Ability to work in large multi-disciplinary teams.
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills; proficient with MS Office.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale; transcripts required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support space vehicle and ground design studies.
• Develop and maintain design tools and models used in spacecraft design.
• Utilize prototyping tools, hardware, and equipment in the RAPID Center.
• Collaborate with VGID staff, program office personnel, and Aerospace interns.
