Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an engineer to own ground support equipment coordination, procedure development, and ENV testing for the MK1 Lunar Lander program. You will push for efficient integrated system testing across multiple campaigns and coordinate with Operations and Lunar Permanence to meet schedules.

The role requires a Bachelor's in engineering and 2+ years of environmental testing, with strong procedural and data handling skills, and a commitment to safety and long hours when needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, aerospace, chemical, electrical, or related engineering fields.
  • 2+ years of experience with environmental testing.
  • Experience developing, writing, and executing test procedures.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and work extended hours.
  • Experience reading P&ID and electrical schematics/layouts.
  • Experience in system-level testing of spaceflight hardware.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute test procedures of Integrated vehicle systems to satisfy program objectives.
  • Coordinate, setup, install, and operate vehicle Electrical Ground Support Equipment test capabilities.
  • Develop test methods to efficiently complete integrated system testing.
  • Maintain appropriate test equipment configuration control, calibration, and traceability.
  • Write test procedures, manage procedural red lines, and incorporate updates during test campaigns.
  • Oversee vendor design and fabrication of test and support equipment.
  • Participate in gated design and Test Readiness Reviews.
  • Perform facility activation tests if necessary.
  • Follow safety policies during test planning and operations.
  • Troubleshoot anomalies real-time.
  • Reduce, analyze, and archive test data to support verification tasks.
  • Bring high energy to achieve ambitious goals.
