Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join the Space Planning, Readiness, and Operations Department in Colorado Springs, CO, onsite at Peterson Space Force Base. You will lead technical assessments, coordinate cross-disciplinary teams, and guide space capability development for USSF and homeland defense missions.

Ideal candidates bring 12+ years of space systems experience, strong communication skills, and a current Top Secret/SCI clearance or eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, technical science, or related field.
• 12+ years of progressive, relevant technical or operational space experience.
• Familiarity with USSF warfighting capabilities and operations.
• Experience with space systems operations or C2 in joint environments.
• Understanding of JADC2, CSpOC, NSDC interactions in operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-depth technical knowledge to integrate space effects for SPACENORTH and homeland defense operations.
• Advise SPACENORTH staff on tactical space operations and capability employment.
• Lead concept exploration and program definition studies for USSF capabilities.
• Coordinate efforts across Aerospace's ETG and program lines.
• Stand up Aerospace footprint with the Space Planning, Readiness, and Operations team.
