Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Member of Technical Staff to perform modeling, analysis, and architecture studies for space-surveillance systems in a national security context. You will develop and apply radar, lidar and related tracking algorithms, and build tooling to support interdisciplinary teams across complex programs.

The position is onsite in El Segundo, CA or Colorado Springs, CO, requiring a STEM degree and 1+ year experience in space systems or algorithms with programming in

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field is required.
• At least 1 year of space systems or algorithm experience.
• Experience programming in MATLAB, C, C++, Java, Python or FORTRAN.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Model and analyze MW/MT/MD sensors and system architectures.
• Use modeling, simulation and analysis frameworks and tools.
• Evaluate EO, radar and RF sensor concepts and algorithms.
• Develop and implement radar/lidar tracking algorithms.
• Create tools and simulations to support system trades analyses.
