Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation in El Segundo, CA, is seeking a Senior Member of Technical Staff to advance space systems analysis. You will lead small teams, mentor juniors, and deliver rigorous assessments across PNT, geolocation, and space protection domains.

We value candidates with strong modeling skills, Python/C++ proficiency, and the ability to work onsite four days per week, with potential alternative locations. Active TS/SCI clearance is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in a related technical field and transcripts required.
• 0–1 year post-bachelor’s industry experience in modeling, simulation, or space operations.
• Familiarity with Python, C/C++, HPC/Linux environments.
• Experience with geolocation, PNT technologies, and space mission analysis.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
• Strong communication, team mentoring, and project-lead capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Support analysis in geo-spatial intelligence, SIGINT, space surveillance, or navigation systems.
• Apply engineering methods to research, development, and acquisition decisions for PNT solutions.
• Perform architecture evaluation and modeling of performance using internal tools.
• Collaborate with senior staff to plan deep dives, trade studies and assessments.
• Develop and present technically accurate reports and recommendations.
• Contribute to sustainment and growth of analysis and simulation capabilities.
• Lead small teams of peers and mentor junior staff on routine tasks.
