Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems seeks a Reliability Engineer Level 2 in Dulles, VA to work with design and systems teams on reliability analysis, stress modeling, and FMEA/FMECA. You’ll apply MIL‑HDBK‑217F and worst‑case methods to ensure product robustness across lifecycle stages.

You’ll engage with O&M and management to ensure high‑quality program deliverables while supporting proposals and reviews. U.S. citizenship and clearance access are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in aerospace/electrical engineering with STEM background and related experience.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics/drawings and functional diagrams.
• Familiarity with MIL‑HDBK‑217F, MIL‑STD‑1629, SMC‑S‑013, EEE‑INST‑002 and reliability processes.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with design and systems teams to meet requirements.
• Perform failure-rate predictions using MIL‑HDBK‑217F and BOMs.
• Review FMEA/FMECA results and electrical stress analyses.
• Lead technical discussions on design impact on reliability.
• Support SRR, PDR, and CDR as a Reliability Engineer.
• Contribute and review proposals; coordinate with multiple disciplines.
