Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation seeks a Systems Director, Realization Office to lead a diverse team delivering resilient space and ground systems. This on-site role in Chantilly, VA requires guiding technology maturation, design, integration, testing and operations across the lifecycle.

Candidates should have 12+ years in space systems and a proven leadership track, with the ability to travel domestically and communicate with senior stakeholders. Active TS/SCI clearance and US citizenship are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science or Math from an accredited institution.
• At least 12 years of experience in space systems or related acquisition.
• Leadership experience over people, projects or products in dynamic environments.
• Ability to travel domestically when necessary for impact.
• Active TS/SCI with SSBI and polygraph; US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Lead a high-performance team across all system lifecycle phases.
• Identify design challenges, risks and integration issues early.
• Coordinate with Engineering Technology Group on scoping initiatives.
• Represent Aerospace on resilient space programs to customers and management.
• Maintain mission assurance plans and publish reports regularly.
• Mentor team members in leadership and executive communication.
