Job summary

Mclaurin Aerospace seeks a Mechanical Project Engineer to join our JETS II contract team at NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX. You will work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment to design, analyze, and validate thermal vacuum space testing systems and related facility hardware.

Responsibilities include leading design reviews, producing procurement documents, and coordinating with engineers, stress analysts, and technicians to deliver high-quality fabrication drawings and compliant

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering with 2–5 years of related experience.
• Ability to visualize and work with complex mechanical systems within a team setting.
• Coordinate in a team to meet milestone design reviews and system integration.
• Maintain configuration control for all project phases.

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer requirements and develop design solutions.
• Design, develop, test, implement, and analyze technical products and systems.
• Prepare engineering drawings conforming to standards (JPR 8500).
• Oversee installation of hardware into test chambers and coordinate with technicians.
