Mclaurin Aerospace invites a Mechanical Design Engineer to join the JETS II contract team at NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to translate requirements into robust mechanical designs for spaceflight hardware.

Responsibilities include designing, analyzing, and documenting parts and assemblies, performing tolerance analyses and GD&T, and presenting design reviews. A BS or MS in Mechanical/Aerospace and experience with 3D CAD are expected.

Competenze

BS / MS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
Experience designing parts and assemblies using 3D CAD modeling software.
Experience producing drawings conforming to ASME Y14.5.
Experience applying tolerance analyses, including thermal effects and GD&T.
Experience with machine shop processes and rapid prototyping (3D printing).
Experience with both structural and thermal analyses of parts and assemblies.
Excellent oral, written and presentation communication skills.
