Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Co-op in Chandler, Arizona for the Spring and Summer 2027 terms. The program offers hands-on experience across multiple mechanical engineering specializations and exposure to a wide range of space-related systems.

The successful candidate will work full time, participate in a structured co-op program, and gain experience with engineering drawings, testing, and data reporting while pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Mechanical

Qualifications

Enrollment in full-time undergraduate or graduate Mechanical Engineering program and expected graduation after August 2027.
Available to work full-time (40 hours/week) January–August 2027.
Must be able to obtain and maintain U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).

Responsibilities

Perform duties in mechanical areas as part of the co-op program.
Construct, troubleshoot, calibrate, adjust, test, and maintain equipment and systems.
Work from engineering drawings and written/verbal instructions.
Operate related equipment and report data in prescribed formats.
Conduct calibration and alignment checks; assist with modifications as directed.
