Job summary

Blue Origin on Space Coast, Florida is seeking a Manufacturing/Process Engineer to industrialize new products and improve manufacturing across aerospace disciplines. You will translate requirements into robust, repeatable processes, and develop documentation while collaborating with design, QA, supply chain, and production teams to advance spaceflight hardware.

Relocation is available and multiple shifts exist.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Electrical/Aerospace Engineering.
• 3+ years in manufacturing/industrial/process engineering.
• Ability to explain technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the U.S.
• Willingness to work second shift.

Responsibilities

• Industrialize new products across solar arrays, integration/test, avionics, harnessing, GNC, thermal systems, and structures.
• Translate requirements into repeatable manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with design, QA, supply chain, and production teams to accelerate spaceflight production.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation (WIs, process flow diagrams, tool designs, inspection plans).
• Evaluate new manufacturing technologies (composites, precision machining, additive manufacturing, orbital welding).
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Communicate issues and risks clearly to all audiences and drive resolution.
• Ensure work meets AS9100/ISO9001 and human spaceflight rigor.
• Participate in PFMEAs, risk assessments, and validation of new lines/equipment.
• Identify opportunities for efficiency gains and cost reduction.
