Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Palm Bay, Florida, is seeking an Integration and Test Engineer to execute and coordinate hardware integration and production test activities for space programs. The role focuses on hands-on build, test, and manufacturing support, refining instructions and driving process improvements to enhance quality and throughput.

The engineer will lead sub-assembly and system integrations, develop work instructions, and support environmental testing and validation.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or higher degree with related space hardware experience.
Graduate degree or substantial equivalent experience preferred.
Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance is required.

Responsibilities

Lead integration and test activities for sub-assembly and system builds.
Develop detailed mechanical integration work instructions.
Create and maintain manufacturing and test plans for production and verification.
Estimate costs, establish time standards, and specify tooling needs.
Support assembly operations with design updates and process improvements.
Apply Lean Six Sigma to optimize processes.
Participate in production validation including environmental testing and checkout.
Provide day-to-day leadership for technician teams.
Train and mentor technicians and engineers.
Document nonconformances with root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
Assist in proposals, Basis of Estimate development, and technical reviews.
Plan and manage major integration or test events and readiness reviews.
Provide status updates on progress, risks, and mitigation strategies.
Travel 10–20% to test facilities and partner sites.
