Bastion is seeking a FMEA/FMECA Reliability Engineer to support the space program at the Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama. This hybrid, full-time role focuses on reliability assessments, development of FMEA/FMECA guidelines, and risk-based decision support for flight programs.

Qualifications

• US citizenship is required due to the sensitivity of customer information.
• Bachelor's degree in STEM and 5+ years related experience, or 9+ years with no degree.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple parallel tasks with effective time management.
• Demonstrated ability to synthesize large volumes of information and summarize key insights.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, evaluate and ensure the quality of reliability assessments for MSFC programs and projects.
• Support development of FMEA/FMECA/CIL products and ground rules for the HLS program, ensuring alignment with standards.
• Review project documentation to verify consistency and compliance with reliability requirements.
• Develop, apply, and maintain analytical tools to meet reliability and maintainability requirements for MSFC programs.
• Prepare, evaluate, and provide assessments of in-house and supplier quality documentation including procedures.
• Participate in failure investigations, determine root cause, and recommend corrective actions.
• Provide expertise in reviewing documentation related to manufacturing, inspection, and test processes.
• Perform focused quantitative risk assessments to support risk-informed decisions.
