Job summary

Bastion Technologies, Inc. seeks an Industrial Safety/Test Engineer to support the space program at the Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama.

The role includes safety assessments, reviewing procedures and facility drawings, and ensuring compliance with safety requirements for testing programs. Responsibilities include hazard identification, risk presentation, trade studies, explosives siting analysis, and safety reviews.

Qualifications

• Must have demonstrable experience in safety hazard assessments and documenting results (Hazard Analyses and OHA).
• Able to work in a matrix-oriented organization with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment & Presentation to leadership and TRR boards.
• Safety Requirements Compliance & Documentation Review for testing programs.
• Trade Studies & Design/Operations Safety Input for in-house and contracted projects.
• Explosives Siting Analysis per NASA-STD-8719.12.
• Procedure & Operational Safety Review of test/checkout procedures.
• Tracking, Reporting & Deliverables including SMASS contract deliverables.
