Job summary

Bastion is seeking a FMEA/FMECA Reliability Engineer to support the space program at the Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama. You will assess reliability, help develop FMEA/FMECA/CIL products, review documentation, and apply analytical tools to meet reliability requirements for MSFC programs and projects.

The role requires US citizenship, a STEM degree, and 5 years of related experience (or 9 years if no degree).

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in STEM (e.g., physics, engineering, math) required.
US citizenship due to sensitive information.
Minimum 5 years of related experience; 9 years if no degree.

Responsibilities

Prepare, evaluate, and ensure the quality of reliability assessments for MSFC programs and projects.
Support development of FMEA/FMECA/CIL products and ground rules for the HLS program.
Review project documentation to verify consistency, completeness, and reliability compliance.
Develop and maintain analytical tools to meet reliability/maintainability requirements.
Assess in-house and supplier quality documentation and process instructions.
Participate in failure investigations, determine root cause, and recommend corrective actions.
Review documentation related to manufacturing, inspection, and test processes.
Perform quantitative risk assessments to inform flight risk mitigation decisions.
