General Atomics Electromagnetic Systems (GA-EMS) in Englewood, CO is seeking a Space System Engineering Manager to lead satellite system programs. The role reports to a senior technical manager and oversees planning, technical performance, and multi-disciplinary integration for space systems.

You will direct engineering efforts across inception to completion, drive objectives with program managers, and contribute to division-wide planning and leadership. Travel and extended hours may be required.

Qualifications

  • Requires a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD in engineering or related field.
  • Extensive engineering expertise and leadership skills in complex projects.
  • Ability to resolve complex engineering and management problems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional interfaces.
  • Willingness to travel and work extended hours.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage and deliver one or more significant engineering units.
  • Direct all phases from inception through completion.
  • Collaborate with staff, program managers and leadership to set objectives.
  • Develop short- and long-term technical, schedule and financial goals.
  • Oversee system-level design of space systems and subsystems.
  • Prepare technical responses for bids, proposals and reports.
