Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Space Systems Engineering Leader to provide technical assessments of foreign space systems and leverage technical intelligence to outpace threats. You will support the NSIC as part of the Project West Wing team on-site at Wright-Patterson AFB, co-located with the customer.

The role requires a bachelor's degree in science/engineering/math, 6+ years of engineering experience, the ability to obtain a security clearance, and strong written and spoken

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science, engineering or mathematics.
• 6 or more years of experience in engineering or related technical field.
• Understanding of satellite threat technologies and their applications.
• Experience in analysis of directed energy systems or satellite systems with modeling tools.
• Comfort with a rapidly changing environment and strong initiative.
• Superior written and oral communications skills and ability to work with others.
• Willing to travel ~10% and able to obtain/maintain a security clearance.
• U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Act as technical contributor, consultant, and primary project coordinator on space system engineering analysis projects.
• Partner with government teams to produce impactful technical assessments of space systems.
• Work with technical intelligence at customer location to increase value of analytical results.
• Leverage engineering analytic tools informed by technical intelligence to assess space system performance parameters.
• Facilitate interaction between customers and Aerospace technical and management staff.
• Coordinate large-scale technical efforts across program/project lines.
