Job summary

CesiumAstro is seeking a Systems Engineering Intern to join our engineering team onsite. You will work with experienced engineers to help design, verify, and integrate space system components across electrical, mechanical, software, RF, and test groups.

Your contributions will support requirements flow-down, interface control, and system-level analyses. Candidates must be actively pursuing BS/MS/PhD in engineering or related fields, with a 3.5+ GPA, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in BS/MS/PhD in Engineering or related technical field from an accredited university.
• Targeting rising juniors or seniors with GPA 3.5 or higher.
• Practical experience with space systems through coursework or internships.
• Excellent written and verbal technical communication skills.
• Strong sense of urgency and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Team player who collaborates with cross-functional groups and adapts quickly.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design and verification of real-world space systems.
• Support requirements development and interface definition for system-level analysis.
• Conduct trade studies and assist with integration planning and test execution.
• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, software, RF, and test teams on programs.
• Assist in MBSE activities and documentation for program needs.
