Job summary

Advanced Space in Westminster, CO invites you to join as a 2027 Systems Engineering Summer Intern onsite. You will work with our Systems Engineering team on spacecraft and mission systems development, supporting requirements, architecture, interfaces, and verification activities while gaining hands-on experience on real space missions.

The program emphasizes mentorship from experienced engineers, exposure to lifecycle processes, and presentation of technical results.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in a related technical discipline (Systems/ Aerospace/ Mechanical/ Electrical/ Computer Engineering or Computer Science).
• Foundational knowledge of systems engineering concepts: requirements, interfaces, system decomposition, lifecycle processes.
• Familiarity with spacecraft or mission systems through coursework or projects.

Responsibilities

• Support systems engineering initiatives on spacecraft and mission projects.
• Develop and manage system requirements and participate in architecture studies.
• Assist with interface definition, trade studies, and system-level analyses.
• Contribute to integration, verification, and validation activities and document results.
