Job summary

Advanced Space in Westminster, Colorado is seeking a 2027 Software Engineering Summer Intern to join our software team and gain hands-on experience developing software for space missions.

You will work with experienced engineers on projects involving spacecraft software, testing infrastructure, and engineering tools, applying modern programming languages and best practices to real aerospace challenges.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a similar discipline.
• Programming experience in Python, C++, or similar languages.
• Familiarity with Bash and Linux-based operating systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve software systems that support aerospace missions.
• Build software solutions for space applications.
• Contribute to onboard spacecraft software, ML applications, and 3D visualization tools.
• Support testing infrastructure and engineering tools for mission development.
• Present project results through technical reports and demonstrations.
