Job summary

AV's Space Technologies division offers a 12-week, onsite Systems Engineering internship. You will support requirements analysis, system modeling, technical documentation, verification planning, and process improvement while collaborating with engineering teams on space electronics and laser communications.

Applicants must be enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s program in a technical field with at least a 3.0 GPA and be able to work full-time this summer. U.S.

Qualifications

Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Optical Engineering, or a related technical field.
Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to work full‑time during the summer internship period.

Responsibilities

Support requirements analysis, organization, derivation, and traceability.
Assist with system modeling and Model‑Based Systems Engineering activities.
Assist with verification and validation planning and tracking.
Use tools such as Cameo, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Python, and other engineering or process tools as appropriate.
