Job summary

AeroVironment is offering a 12‑week, onsite Test Engineering Intern position in Space Technologies. You will work with AV engineers to develop, integrate, and verify spacecraft hardware. The role emphasizes hands‑on testing, data analysis, and test automation in a fast‑paced aerospace environment.

Ideal candidates are rising seniors or recent graduates pursuing engineering degrees, with a strong background in circuits, embedded systems, and programming. Relocation support may be available.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a bachelor’s program in engineering or related field.
• Minimum GPA 3.0; junior year or above preferred.
• Coursework in circuits, electronics, embedded systems, controls, or programming.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing, integrating, and troubleshooting automated test equipment for spacecraft hardware.
• Develop and maintain test scripts and data acquisition tools (Python, LabVIEW, MATLAB).
• Support functional, performance, integration, qualification, and environmental tests for spacecraft hardware.
• Assemble and modify test setups and interface test equipment.
• Use lab equipment to troubleshoot and validate hardware and interfaces, including SPI, RS-422, LVDS, SpaceWire, MIL-STD-1553.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams in controlled environments.
