Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation seeks a Sr. Project Engineer - Systems Engineering - Acquisition and Systems Engineering to lead cross-segment system integration for the ESS enterprise. You will work with government customers and contractors at our facility on-site at Los Angeles AFB, CA, and brief senior leadership.

A TS/SCI eligible clearance and 10+ years of relevant experience are required. Experience with MILSATCOM or related space systems, strong communication skills, and willingness to travel

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM or related discipline.
• 12+ years of engineering or technical experience.
• Hands-on systems engineering and integration experience.
• Ability to lead multi-segment, distributed teams toward objectives.
• Experience with SATCOM technologies.
• Active Secret clearance with eligibility for TS/SCI.
• Willingness to travel domestically ~10%.
• U.S. citizenship required for clearance.

Responsibilities

• Support system engineering and integration of the ESS enterprise across space, ground, crypto, and terminals.
• Track and maintain interfaces between ESS segments and external systems.
• Perform and support cross-segment technical analyses for system-level trades.
• Support requirements development, decomposition, and verification planning.
• Prepare technical products, assessments, and briefing materials.
• Support technical reviews and working groups (SRR, PDR, CDR, TIMs).
• Translate findings into decisions and brief senior leadership.
