Job summary

KBR, Inc. is seeking a Space Systems Engineer to support the Space Systems Command and SSC-focused programs. You will advise on space systems control functions and contribute to design, development, and optimization of space platforms and subsystems.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, program oversight, and readiness assessments. The position requires senior-level experience in space systems, MBSE practices, and a demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams on defense

Qualifications

• Master of Science degree in a related science field (orbital mechanics, space physics, etc.).
• Bachelor’s degree acceptable with at least 12 years of related experience in this type of position or program.
• Active TS (SCI eligible) clearance or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical, acquisition, and operational support across a portfolio of space programs.
• Support all phases of the space acquisition lifecycle including engineering, operations, and performance analysis.
• Develop and revise acquisition and JCIDS documentation (CONOPS, ICDs, AoAs, milestones) per DoD standards.
