Job summary
Galapagos Federal Systems, LLC is seeking a Systems Engineer Level 2 to support the United States Space Force (USSF) missions. This role involves development, integration, and sustainment of advanced capabilities within a fast-paced DoD environment. You will work on-site and may travel to support program needs.
The ideal candidate will have active Top Secret/SCI eligibility, 5+ years of DoD experience, and strong SysML/Cameo expertise, with knowledge of JCIDS/DoDAF and space domain technologies.
Qualifications
- Active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
- 5+ years of DoD systems engineering experience.
- Experience with System Program Offices (SPOs) or PMOs.
- Experience with RDT&E and test/training materiel systems.
- Space technology domain knowledge (EO/IR, RF, GNC, etc.).
- Willingness to work on-site and travel up to 25%.
Responsibilities
- Conduct feasibility studies and concept exploration for system solutions.
- Support DRM engineering and related system analysis activities.
- Develop CONOPS to support mission requirements.
- Develop and manage system requirements, ICDs, verification plans, and validation activities.
- Perform change management and assess impacts to interfaces and schedules.
- Align PPBE activities with technical efforts across SFPAE-I and SYD 81.
- Support SE activities through RDT&E, integration, fielding, and sustainment.
- Collaborate with government and stakeholders to deliver systems.
