Job summary

Galapagos Federal Systems LLC seeks an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to support USSF mission-critical space operations, OTTI IPO, and Space Systems Command. You will contribute to development, acquisition, integration, and sustainment of advanced test and training capabilities, delivering results in a fast-paced DoD environment.

The role requires 10+ years in DoD systems engineering with SE, RDT&E, and space domain expertise.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
• 10+ years of DoD experience in systems engineering, RDT&E, or related programs.
• Experience with SPOs/PMOs and delivering to SPOs/PMOs.
• Experience with RDT&E and test/training materiel systems.
• Experience with space test and training materiel systems.
• Knowledge of SE principles and processes for RDT&E, integration and fielding.
• Familiar with Cameo, SysML, JCIDS and DoDAF processes.
• Experience across space technology disciplines such as GNC, EO/IR, RF, or space data comms.
• Willingness to work on-site full-time with up to 25% travel.

Responsibilities

• Conduct feasibility studies and concept exploration.
• Perform DRM engineering and system analysis.
• Develop CONOPS to support mission requirements.
• Manage system requirements, ICDs, verification plans, and validation.
• Perform change management and technical analysis on interfaces and objectives.
• Align PPBE activities with technical efforts for OTTI.
• Support engineering across RDT&E, integration, fielding, and sustainment.
• Collaborate with government and program stakeholders to deliver capabilities.
