Job summary

Galapagos Federal Systems is seeking a Systems Engineer Level 2 to support the United States Space Force from Arlington, VA. The candidate will contribute to the development, acquisition, integration, and sustainment of advanced space capabilities in a fast-paced DoD environment.

The role requires a TS clearance, 5+ years of DoD SE experience, and strong communication skills to support Design Reference Mission engineering, CONOPS development, and program objectives across SFPAE-I and SYD 81.

Qualifications

• BS in Systems Engineering or related field
• Experience with DoD space programs and systems engineering lifecycle
• Knowledge of SE principles and processes
• Experience with system requirements, ICDs, verification plans

Responsibilities

• Conduct feasibility studies and concept exploration for system solutions
• Support DRM engineering and related system analysis activities
• Develop CONOPS to support mission requirements
• Develop and manage system requirements, ICDs, verification plans, and validation activities
• Perform change management and technical analysis of system interfaces and schedules
• Align PPBE activities with technical efforts across SFPAE-I and SYD 81
• Support SE activities through RDT&E, integration, fielding, and sustainment
• Collaborate with government and engineering stakeholders to deliver systems and capabilities
