Job summary

Anduril Industries in Chantilly, VA is hiring Software Engineers for the Space Special Programs team. You will develop flight, ground test, and ground station software at embedded and host levels, spanning RF, data protocols, machine learning, and control algorithms in restricted environments.

You’ll work with a cross‑functional team to implement flight software, perform design reviews, and ensure high reliability and manufacturability for orbiting spacecraft and related ground systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical / computer engineering, or similar engineering field.
• 2-8 years of professional software development experience (embedded and/or host-side).
• For embedded roles: read VHDL and write C.
• For host-side roles: work with GUI, databases, and high-level languages.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and interfaces (Ethernet, CAN, I2C, SPI, PCIe, MIPI CSI-2).
• Familiarity with MCU/CPU/FPGA devices and modern electronics.

Responsibilities

• Design market leading space flight hardware and ground equipment with a cross-functional team.
• Implement software components through prototyping, verification, and space qualification activities.
• Apply fault detection, error checking, and data redundancy in high-reliability systems.
• Develop low- and high-level mission functionality across hardware and software domains.
• Participate in design reviews and collaborate to improve capabilities.
• Assess when to bring up firmware and migrate to flight code.
