Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation in El Segundo, CA, seeks a Member of the Technical Staff (MTS) to support space vehicle systems engineering for US Space Force and other customers. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, participate in design reviews, and develop SME expertise to solve critical space system problems.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science and 2+ years of space systems experience; Senior MTS requires 4+ years and leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering or science discipline (ABET accredited).
• 2+ years of space vehicle systems engineering experience.
• Knowledge of spacecraft subsystems and systems engineering topics.
• Ability to travel domestically, willingness to obtain and maintain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide space vehicle systems engineering support for customer programs, focusing on US Space Force.
• Lead and participate in multi-disciplinary studies and design reviews.
• Evaluate feasibility of space system designs during milestone reviews (PDR, CDR, etc.).
• Develop subject matter expertise in space vehicle systems engineering.
• Establish strong relationships with government, program offices, and contractors.
