Job summary

Voyager Lunar Systems, a space hardware developer, seeks a Mechanical Integration and Test Engineer to plan, execute, and document integration and validation of spacecraft components and lunar infrastructure. Relocation assistance is provided to Pittsburgh, PA for qualified candidates.

The role collaborates with DFMA/DFT teams, design and test engineers, and shop personnel to ensure readiness of parts, fixtures, and test systems across propulsion, thermal, mechanisms, electrical, and structure

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related engineering.
• 0-2+ years of experience in integration, assembly, or testing of electro-mechanical and/or fluid systems.
• Ability to write clear technical documentation, including test procedures, work instructions, and reports.
• Familiarity with CAD; SolidWorks experience preferred.
• Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support DFMA and DFT reviews for design for manufacturing/test.
• Develop Test Plans with Systems and Design Engineers.
• Draft, maintain, and execute detailed Integration Procedures and Test Procedures.
• Ensure readiness of supporting items to perform integration or test operations (assembly parts, fasteners, consumables, tooling).
• Support design of ground support equipment, fixtures, and tooling for integration/test operations.
• Prepare materials and participate in Integration Readiness and Test Readiness Reviews.
• Operate test equipment such as Shaker Tables and Thermal Vacuum Chambers per procedures.
• Collaborate with technicians, engineers, and leadership across propulsion, thermal, mechanisms, electrical, and structural teams.
