Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems seeks an Associate and/or Supplier Quality Engineer to join the Safety & Mission Assurance team, with roles located at the Space Systems sector in Promontory, Clearfield, Salt Lake City, or Magna, UT.

The role focuses on developing and maintaining Mission Assurance policies, ensuring products meet company, AS9100, and government requirements, with a 9/80 schedule and travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Be completing or has completed their Bachelor’s degree in an accredited engineering program.
• Majoring in Mechanical, Chemical, or Aerospace Engineering (other technical degrees may be considered).
• Be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite).
• Proven technical aptitude and ability to problem solve complex technical issues.

Responsibilities

• Conduct source inspections at vendor sites ensuring quality before shipment.
• Understand the tool design intent, failure modes, requirements and specifications of the product and processes.
• Provide quality guidance in Tooling design reviews to capture quality requirements in the design phase.
• Author initial inspection plans for new tooling and periodic/recycle inspection plans.
• Serve as liaison between S&MA and various organizations including some government agencies.
• Ensure inspections, SPC analyses, and audits are conducted to enforce requirements and improve processing.
