Job summary

Northrop Grumman seeks a Quality Engineer – Level 2 or Level 3 for its Space Sector in Promontory, UT. This 100% onsite role focuses on establishing and maintaining Mission Assurance policies, processes and controls to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction.

The position supports Test and Research or Nozzle Value Streams, with a 4/10 schedule and Fridays off. Requires STEM degree and ability to obtain a secret clearance, plus strong teamwork and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with 2 years of experience (Level 2) or Master’s with 0 years.
• Level 3 requires 5 years with Bachelor’s, or 3 years with Master’s, or 1 year with PhD.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance.
• Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to multi-task and solve complex issues.

Responsibilities

• Understand design intent, failure modes, requirements and specifications of the product and manufacturing processes.
• Identify opportunities and develop plans to capitalize on improvements.
• Provide guidance interpreting governmental regulations and internal policies.
• Serve as liaison between S&MA and government agencies.
• Ensure inspections, SPC analyses, and audits are conducted to enforce requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
