Job summary

Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer – Level 3 or Level 4 to join our Corrine (Promontory), UT team. This position is 100% onsite and requires collaboration with suppliers, customers, and internal teams. Travel up to 10% is expected.

The role focuses on developing supplier quality systems, evaluating processes, and driving corrective actions across programs. Strong communication and team-building skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of professional experience.
• Master’s degree with 3 years or experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance.
• Strong communication and team-building skills.
• Experience in supplier quality roles in aerospace/defense industry (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement supplier quality evaluation and control systems.
• Assures supplier process and product quality, including contractual, regulatory, and technical compliance.
• Interfaces directly with supplier personnel and must be capable of assessing supplier quality and manufacturing processes.
• Develop inspection criteria for supplier inspection plans and receiving inspection plans.
• Conducts product and process verification activities and monitors supplier quality against performance metrics.
• Drives root cause corrective action analysis for supplier quality issues.
• Supports maintenance of the approved supplier list and periodically reviews supplier performance.
• Manages supplier requests for waivers, deviations and discrepancy reporting.
• Supports Mission Assurance plan implementation at suppliers through all program phases.
• Manage implementation of Supplier Mission Assurance processes, including supplier approval activities, source selection evaluations, supplier classification designation (Key and Critical).
• Development and execution of risk assessments and mitigation plans and supplier quality requirements development and flow-downs.
