Northrop Grumman is seeking a Structural Engineering intern for the Gilbert, AZ Space sector. The role supports the Gilbert Mechanical Engineering Department (Structure Analysis) and involves building finite element models and conducting analyses to support program schedules.

The candidate must be enrolled full-time in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, available for 10 weeks in Summer 2027, and able to obtain a U.S. government clearance. Internship pay ranges vary by degree level and location.

Qualifications

• Enrolled full-time in an undergraduate or graduate degree program.
• Majoring in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• Able to work full-time for at least 10 weeks in Summer 2027.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance.
• Coursework in FEM, mechanics of materials, dynamics, or vibrations.

Responsabilités

• Build finite element models and perform trade studies and analyses to support programs.
• Complete pre-test structural analysis and support dynamics testing.
• Participate in/lead analysis group continuous improvement and training.
• Organize and archive analysis group data and documentation.
