Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience
• This position is considered safety sensitive in accordance with NASA Guidelines. Candidate will be subject to drug and alcohol testing per NASA’s regulation SUBPART 1835.5 Drug- Free Workforce

Responsibilities

• Lead a multidisciplinary team of structural analysts and aero-thermal engineers supporting multiple programs in different stages of design, development, build, test, and verification
• Responsible for leadership, training, coaching, and technical oversight of detailed stress and aero-thermal analysis of complex structures used in spaceflight
• Lead team in static and dynamic stress analysis, fracture analysis (NASGRO), margin of safety, fatigue calculations, and CFD/thermal/performance analysis
• Provide expert technical guidance to development and production programs
• Develop and implement professional and technical development plans and succession planning
