Job summary

Belcan in Windsor Locks, CT is seeking a Structures Engineering Sr. Technical Leader to guide a team of 8–12 engineers and drive successful aerospace projects. You will mentor staff, oversee technical tasks, and ensure deliverables meet schedule and quality requirements.

The role requires a BS/MS in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering, 5+ years of experience, and strong FEA tool proficiency (ANSYS, Patran/Nastran, Abaqus). Collaboration with customers and suppliers is essential.

Qualifications

• US citizenship is required.
• On-site work at the Belcan office in Windsor, CT.
• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum five years of related working experience.
• Experience evaluating stress and life of parts under vibration and fatigue loading.
• Proficiency with FEA tools (ANSYS or Patran/Nastran preferred).
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• High proficiency with Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a structural engineering team of 8–12 people.
• Support technical projects for structural engineering tasks and provide guidance to the team.
• Perform structural analyses using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and post-process results.
• Review structural test plans and reports.
• Interface with customers, hardware suppliers, and participate in design reviews.
