Job summary

Vantor Inc. is seeking a seasoned spectrum management engineer to join our Space Force program in the El Segundo area. You will ensure regulatory compliance and lead frequency planning for space systems, collaborating with SV/LV/Grounds teams to secure necessary authorizations.

You will translate DoD and ITU requirements into actionable specifications, develop frequency plans, and contribute to cross-functional initiatives with strong communication skills and a focus on mission success.

Qualifications

• US citizen with ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or aerospace engineering.
• 8+ years of experience with space electrical systems or space communication systems.
• Knowledge of the spectrum supportability strategy requirements for space systems.
• Knowledge of U.S. Space Force Acquisition process per DoD/DAF policies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Full time, on-site support in Los Angeles area.

Responsibilities

• Consult SSC programs to obtain spectrum certification (DD1494), request for frequency assignment, spectrum supportability risk assessment, and ITU registration per DoD/DAF policies.
• Serve as expert technical authority on spectrum management, radio communications, frequency engineering, and protection of radio spectrum for space systems.
• Resolve problems and provide end-user support, guidance, and training on spectrum management and radio frequency authorizations with the Air Force and AFSMO.
• Manage spectrum supportability strategy submissions and develop radio network designs/maps for submission to AFSMO/NTIA.
• Coordinate National Spectrum Strategy Spectrum Relocation Fund initiatives and participate in mission-impact studies to define spectrum supportability strategies.
