Job summary

Astranis Space Technologies, based in San Francisco, CA, seeks an Electrical Engineering Manager to lead the Mixed Signal Hardware team delivering our Software Defined Radios for GEO satellites. You will oversee architecture, board design, testing, and qualification to meet space-grade requirements.

You will mentor engineers, manage complex PCBAs, and drive high-speed mixed-signal innovations while addressing radiation effects and space environment challenges.

Qualifications

• Experience leading FPGA-based SDR design for GEO satellites.
• Proven track record delivering hardware across the signal chain (FPGA, high-speed converters).
• Experience with payload design for satellite comms including radiation effects in FPGA-based systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of electrical engineers to design SDRs for space.
• Oversee design workflows for complex PCBAs with compute, high-speed I/O, data converters, and power distribution.
• Architect ultra high-speed mixed-signal systems for spacecraft payloads and integration.
• Drive continuous technical innovation and industry expertise.
