Job summary

Astranis Space Technologies in San Francisco designs and builds satellites and communications hardware. We seek a senior engineering leader to head electrical engineering, guiding the design of FPGA-based software-defined radios for GEO space telecom satellites, and to oversee complex PCBAs with high-speed data paths and mixed-signal systems.

You will mentor a team, drive engineering workflows, ensure radiation-aware design, and push innovations to maintain a competitive edge.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of mixed-signal and high-speed digital hardware design.
• 8+ years of PCB-level hardware design from concept through production.
• Proven leadership through project management and people management experience.
• B.S. or higher in electrical or computer engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of electrical engineers to design FPGA-based radios for GEO space satellites.
• Oversee and manage design workflows for complex PCBAs with compute, high-speed I/O, data converters and power distribution.
• Architect ultra high-speed mixed-signal systems to maximize payload efficiency and integration with the spacecraft.
• Drive continuous technical innovation and maintain industry leadership.
