Job summary

Astranis Space Technologies Corp. is seeking an FPGA Engineer to lead RTL design, verification, and testing for spacecraft FPGAs. You will collaborate with software, DSP, and hardware teams to meet stringent space-grade requirements and ensure robust radiation mitigation.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in hardware development, strong Verilog/SystemVerilog skills, and hands-on experience with high-throughput FPGA systems in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, computer engineering, or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in hardware development and fast-paced environments.
• Strong proficiency with Verilog (SystemVerilog) for synthesis and verification.

Responsibilities

• Design RTL for high performance systems including software defined radios, avionics and ground systems.
• Work with multiple FPGAs and toolchains.
• Interface FPGAs with high speed data converters, memories, MCUs.
• Design, implement and test radiation mitigation schemes on FPGA.
• Collaborate with DSP/radio algorithm designer and with embedded firmware/software teams.
• Assist in recruiting and growing the team.
