Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for AI satellite hardware development. You will oversee the end-to-end manufacturing line for orbital compute hardware, from assembly through testing of high-performance electronics, memory, and networking components.

The role covers device modeling, materials characterization, and supplier coordination to meet reliability and performance targets in space environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering is required.
• Experience in microelectronics device research or manufacturing is required.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced hardware manufacturing environment is expected.

Responsibilities

• Own development and optimization of high-rate manufacturing for satellite components.
• Own the full lifecycle of equipment specification, validation, and process development.
• Build supply chains for wafers, gases, chemicals, and equipment used in solar cell manufacturing.
• Address material and process challenges in packaging to improve performance and scalability.
• Specify and implement in-process metrology tools and design wafer-level test structures.
• Drive end-to-end material and process R&D programs from concept to product implementation.
• Collaborate with leadership across departments to integrate innovations into roadmaps.
• Manage compliance risks related to materials and processes, ensuring safety and environmental standards.
