Job summary
The Aerospace Corporation in El Segundo, CA is seeking an Undergraduate-level Reliability and Statistics Intern to join the Systems Engineering Division. You will apply statistical techniques to data from space systems and help develop reliability models for satellites and launch vehicles.
This 10-week, full-time internship is onsite in El Segundo. Candidates should be enrolled in a bachelor’s program in mechanical engineering, statistics, or related discipline and have programming skills in
Qualifications
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Available for a minimum of 10 weeks full-time.
- Fluency in at least one programming language (C++, Python, etc.).
- U.S. citizenship required to obtain security clearance.
Responsibilities
- Apply statistical techniques to data from space systems.
- Analyze system availability and replenishment planning for satellites.
- Develop, evaluate, and update reliability models for satellites and launch vehicles.
- Provide technical advice to management and customers.
- Document technical efforts and brief internal and external customers.
