Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation in El Segundo, CA, is seeking an Undergraduate-level Reliability and Statistics Intern to contribute to statistical analysis of space-system data and support availability and replenishment planning.

You will develop, evaluate, and update reliability models for satellite and launch vehicle systems, and communicate findings to management and customers. This internship is 10 weeks, onsite, with a competitive compensation package.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in an accredited college/university pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a related discipline.
• Ability to commit to full-time for a minimum of 10 weeks.
• Fluent in at least one programming language (C++, Java, R, Python, Matlab).
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 and ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Apply statistical techniques to derive insight from data related to space systems.
• Analyze system availability and replenishment planning for satellite systems.
• Develop and update reliability models for satellite and launch vehicle systems.
• Provide technical advice to management, customers, and contractors.
• Document technical efforts and brief internal and external customers.
