Job summary

Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) seeks a seasoned SETA contractor to provide System Engineering Technical Assistance to the Space Rapid Capabilities Office (RCO) at Kirtland AFB, NM.

Lead advisory for time-critical projects and coordinate with internal/external stakeholders to meet aggressive timelines and mission goals. The role requires a minimum of ten years in DoD/IC or equivalent, testing satellite systems, and DoD program management experience.

Qualifications

• Ten years of DoD/IC or relevant industry experience.
• Proven testing experience on satellite systems.
• Understanding of operational environment and mission user needs.
• Knowledge of space system engineering, development and manufacturing.
• Experience with Developmental Test or Operational Test at Service or Command level.
• Experience in DoD program management including development and transition.
• Experience with Integrated Master Schedules and risk management.
• Experience with Statements of Work (SOW) and Performance Work Statements (PWS).

Responsibilities

• Serve as program advisory lead for time-critical technical projects or tasks requiring senior technical and project management expertise.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to identify program needs and develop solutions and timelines.
• Assist acquisition planning, market research, and drafting technical requirements.
• Assess technical sufficiency, cost, quality, and timely delivery of program deliverables.
• Consult with engineers to provide technical advice and resolve issues.
• Support management and execution of multi-project programs and optimize resource use.
• Draft, review, and edit final program reports, documents, and briefings.
• Coordinate with external agencies to facilitate transition of SpRCO systems into USA Space Force framework.
